As an Heating, Ventilation & A/C specialist, I get a lot of random cellphone calls throughout the day from homeowners I’ve never even met; Most of the time, they’re calling myself and others in a panic because something went wrong with their Heating, Ventilation & A/C system! It’s hard talking to homeowners enjoy this because they’re always stressed out plus on edge.
In these situations, I have to tune out their words because there’s nothing I can do except come visit their house plus find the problem myself.
You’d be surprised how many homeowners deny my services over the cellphone, because they don’t want to absolutely spend my savings for the appointment… They call in their desperate time of need plus ask myself and others to tell them what’s wrong, then they get aggravated when they find out they’ll have to spend my savings for my services, and during this time of year, I earn an increase of cellphone calls because people are beginning to switch off their oil gas furnaces plus beginning using their air conditioners. I get a lot of cellphone calls about lukewarm air coming from the air vents, plus a lot of concerns about central cooling systems leaking water, then just the other day, I had a guy call myself and others because he couldn’t figure out why his air conditioner was leaking water into his home… As a professional who’s dealt with this problem before, I knew that the moisture being detachd from his home’s air was being collected into the condenser coil’s drip pan. The pan was full plus leaking into his home, but however, I wasn’t about to tell him that over the cellphone because I didn’t get paid for fixing Heating, Ventilation & A/C troubles over the cellphone.
