Last summer time was our first summer time living down in the South! I had just moved to the area weeks before. I was not actually prepared for how overheated I was at home. Then our air-conditioner equipment stopped working altogether, dead in the middle of hot season. Of course it was going to cost extra for a Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C equipment specialist to come to our property ASAP. Beyond that because it was during the middle of the hot season, all the Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C providers I reached out to had a pretty long waiting list as they were entirely busy at the time of year. I had no option really, & had to wait a few afternoons before somebody could come out. When they did, the Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C equipment specialist told me the horrible news that our a/c equipment was pretty disfigured, & that any short term fix would almost surely mean that I would need more a/c repair soon-very possibly even later the same summer. The HVAC equipment was legitimately old & inefficient, so I made the choice to go for it & have modern a/c equipment installed ASAP. But because it was the busy season I still had to wait a few afternoons for the Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C provider to come back… Coming back from my place of work during that week was absolutely terrible, as the property was feeling basically like an oil furnace. As I had just moved, I didn’t actually know anybody well enough to ask to stay at their property while I waited for our modern air-conditioning equipment to be installed. It was too overheated to sleep in our property & it showed in my work performance at my task. Fortunately the modern a/c was installed eventually, although not soon enough for me to avoid a few mistakes at my place of work that were a direct result of my lack of sleep & stress that was caused by the whole situation.
