Last week, we had a preview of the Summer that is still to come, then one day, it was a comfortable 80°, and the next several afternoons, the temperature soared into the 90s.
It was so hot and uncomfortable in my workroom that I was getting legitimately little done.
My mind was meandering, and I felt appreciate my entire body was dehydrating. After several hours, I pulled out the small window air conditioner unit that I had, and put it in the window. The cool air from the air conditioner unit made it so much more comfortable to work. An hour later, my partner came in and heard the air conditioner unit running. As hot as it was in that room; I couldn’t wait for him to decide it was time to clean the air filter. I told him that the h, eat wave was only going to last for several afternoons, and then I would help take the air conditioner unit out of the window and he could labor on it, even though he wasn’t happy with that thought. He immediately pulled up the window and started to remove the air conditioner unit. For the first time in almost 5 years, I raised my voice to my partner. I told him that if he took that air conditioner unit out of the window, he would be cooking his own meals for the next year. The air conditioner would not be destructiond by running for several afternoons with a dirty air filter. He didn’t talk to me the rest of the day, but at least I had an afternoon where I could labor with no interruptions.
