I wish I had just become an HVAC specialist immediately after graduating high school.
Back then, I was convinced I needed to attend a university and get a degree in order to make anything out of my life.
All I really ended up doing was educating myself right out of a job in the field I wanted – which was the case when I was finishing high school. Not only that, but I ended up with an enormous amount of school debt I still haven’t paid off. It’s terrible being in debt like this, and I didn’t even end up in the field I trained for. Anyway, these days I am now working as an HVAC specialist. I absolutely love this job! It didn’t take me long to get my Heating plus A/C certification at the local technical school here in town. Getting my Heating plus A/C certification was challenging, but it did not take me easily long at all. Best of all, it did not cost me much. After I got my HVAC certification, I found a job in the field right away. I have already paid off my fees from getting my HVAC certification. How long is it going to take me, though, to pay off my college debt? I’m not sure, and I’m not even using that degree. It all seems like it was a big waste of time and money. I wish that I had just become an HVAC specialist straight out of school. But I believe you live and learn, when it comes right down to it.
