The day I was changing the mower blades on the riding grass mower, I hurt my elbow. This happened because I was yanking on the wrench in an effort to break the nut loose. This caused me to hurt my elbow and I thought I could actually ignore it. My elbow was hurting all day and I kept resting next to the Heating and Air Conditioning vent so the air conditioning would help relieve the pain on my shoulder. I also got an ice compress to help. I noticed there was something amiss with my elbow when it kept bothering me. My wife insisted I go to the hospital. I was grumpy when I got in there because I thought the venue was too ice-frigid. They were blasting commercial Heating and Air Conditioning systems. I did like the fact that it seemed to make my elbow feel slightly better, even though I also started shivering. When I had X-rays done and I was checked, it turned out that I needed surgery to repair my elbow. I was surprised that this is what I was being told. Luckily, our insurance would cover the surgery. But, it wasn’t something that I looked forward to. Still, I got it together and was taken to the surgery room which was also frigid with that blasting AC system. I was knocked out and woke up being told the surgery worked. But, I needed to stay in bed with the a/c comfort for 12 days
