I don’t know what it is with these kids sometimes, but they are always fighting about something.
I asked everybody the other day if they wanted to go and get some ice-cream.
It was a very hot day and the AC system was struggling in the house. I was concerned and so I called up the local HVAC company. I had arranged for the HVAC professional to show up in about an hour or so, and I figured while he was working on the cooling system, we all could get some ice cream. Well, while we were waiting the kids were all starting to fight and they were getting out of control. I had to yell at them to stop or they wouldn’t be getting any ice cream. I told them that when the HVAC professional showed up and started working on the AC system, it would be turned off. That meant that the house would become extremely overheated. I told them they could stay in the stifling house while their mother and I went to the ice cream shop on our own. They could try to relax in the overheated house without air conditioning while we had the time of our lives eating delicious ice cream and keeping perfectly cool with their exceptional AC system. Well, all the kids promised they would behave after that. I told them I didn’t want to hear anybody fighting or they would stay at the overheated house for certain. They behaved and we had some good ice cream. I love that place because the AC pumped out ice-cold air all the time. I think it’s mostly to keep the ice cream from melting, but it feels wonderful. When we got back, the AC system was repaired and working and the house was actually much cooler than before!
