I still can’t believe that I genuinely own my own home.
It’s been a long time coming but it’s an achievement that I have sought after forever.
Spending so many years renting left me drained and unsatisfied. I constantly felt I was just dumping cash into a hole because I wasn’t building equity. What’s up with the Heating, Ventilation & A/C units in rental locations? Everywhere I ever resided just had the most underwhelming Heating, Ventilation & A/C systems. Paying money each month for a place to live & then coming home to a hot, sticky place in the warm season was far from ideal. However, that’s over now. However, just purchasing this place was not the end of the journey. I was able to afford this home because it needs some renovations. Structurally, the place will sit until the end of time. Inside though, it has been neglected and it shows. The Heating, Ventilation & A/C in a complete mess. I couldn’t make it liveable until I addressed the Heating, Ventilation & A/C equipment. Initially, the home was designed with a boiler system and somewhere along the way, it was ripped out & a crude central air Heating, Ventilation & A/C system was installed. This thing is super ugly. It had to be ripped out but I wasn’t certain that putting another central air component in would be ideal either. Instead, I went with the ductless Heating, Ventilation & A/C unit, because they’ve been such an appealing addition to the home. The heating & cooling power is incredible & they’re hyper efficient which saves me more money. I’ll be glad to have that extra money as I continue to turn my house into a home.
