I’m not going to use washable a/c filters anymore

I don’t like being cheap if it’s going to create additional problems for me in the long run. That’s the consequence you face with car repair. I use full synthetic motor oil plus get it changed every 3,000 miles because I want the engine to survive as long as possible. You live plus you learn, because at one point in time I wasn’t smart with my vehicles. I had a used sedan in college in which I kept neglecting oil fluctuations. Eventually the oil went dry in the engine plus it fried while I was driving the interstate one morning. I decided from that moment moving forward that I would never make the same mistake twice. As much as you need to respect your car repair, you need to do the same with the appliances in your home. For instance, the filter in your a/c or oil furnace is not an option for the sake of air quality. That filter is essential in keeping dust plus dirt from clogging the inside of an air handler or oil furnace. With a/cs particularally, all of the built up dust can coat the evaporator coil plus will completely negate its cooling capabilities. And if you’re not replacing these filters often enough, it chokes the airflow in the Heating plus Air Conditioning system. With a choked air flow, this can lead to damage on fan motors plus other internal components essential to the heating plus cooling system. Unfortunately, my zeal for being smart with Heating plus Air Conditioning filter fluctuations led me to washable filters which are awful for harboring mold after repeat cleanings. I’m going to quit using washable air filters plus simply go back to the disposable ones regardless of their price.
