Many folks complain about it when they come over to visit.
I agree that it is kind of cold in here, over the summer, but should people complain about it? Isn’t it rude to complain about the temperature settings in someone else’s house? But, that is how it always is when the two of us host a party or a game night, etc. I admit, my wife and I keep the temperature control settings much lower than most people do in their own homes. Since we have been turning the thermostat down, I decided to do something for others. I’m naturally hot-natured, but I’m not a bad hostess. I’ve always tried to guarantee that people are comfortable when they come over to my home. So, I put a little guest basket by the front door. The basket has a blanket, boiling slippers, and a sweater in it. Anyone who comes over and thinks that it’s too cold in the home is welcome to use whatever is in the guest basket. I think that it was a wonderful idea, and our guests seem to agree. Even though we still keep the air conditioning turned way down in the summer, people seem to be much more comfortable in our home now. I’m ecstatic about the guest basket because I genuinely don’t want to stop using the air conditioning!
