Move To A Sea-Side Cold Climate Required Various Upgrades

My sister moved to a city that is something of a summer resort town, many years ago. All year-round it gets a strong ocean breeze. In the summer this is great, but come late fall, this same breeze becomes a punishing winter wind. All winter it is sometimes painful just to go outside, if the wind is particularly strong. The first winter she lived there she said she almost felt like she was going to die sometimes because she felt so cold. Eventually she moved into a good house, where the winter winds didn’t feel like they were going straight through you. But it was still freezing in that house during winter. One of the first things she and her husband did was install a new furnace. Then they immediately looked into what other HVAC system upgrades were possible for the house. Her husband is pretty handy, but he still thought it best to leave much of the final installation to an HVAC technician. This is probably largely due to just how cold that town can get, let alone how winter storms can turn up right out of nowhere off of the ocean. As he grew up there he knew firsthand that it was best to leave the final say on all HVAC issues to actual HVAC businesses. I have visited them both in the summer and winter since they had the various upgrades. The heating situation in the winter is now much better, and I’m comfortable and feel like I’m indoors when I stay the night. I prefer going during the summer of course. It can get pretty hot in the summer there, and their cooling system is amazing too.
