My friend has recently opened up a recreational marijuana store near me.
I’m very happy for him.
Ever since legal marijuana became available in our state it has been his dream to own a cannabis dispensary. He’s a really friendly guy and loves recreational marijuana, so I knew his cannabis dispensary would do really well. He was very unsure about opening a recreational marijuana store because, even though legal pot was an option now, there was still a bit of a stigma around cannabis dispensaries. It was a bit of a social hurdle, but I think he handled it well. Part of what made it possible was offering other CBD products other than recreational marijuana for customers- that way, even if they didn’t agree with legal pot, they could find something for them. I think offering those other CBD products brought in customers other than those who had been using recreational marijuana before our state allowed for the use of legal recreational marijuana. A lot of people really enjoy CBD products but not necessarily the culture around cannabis dispensaries. Of course, my friend also has his loyal customer base who has been enjoying recreational marijuana since the 60’s, but it’s nice to have fresh faces and a diversity of products in your cannabis dispensary! All in all, I think my friend is the right kind of guy for the job of owning a cannabis dispensary in this area. He really enjoys recreational marijuana but doesn’t have any of the unfortunate characteristics of a “pot head” so his marijuana dispensary is well-accepted in our community.
