My sister moved in with me and I absolutely hate it.
I wanted her to go to my mom and dad’s house, but I am technically closer and she can still go to work while she lives with me.
She would have needed to quit her job if she had moved to my mom and dad’s house. That was the argument that my sister made when she asked if she could live in my spare room. I bought a house with two bedrooms so I would have an office and I was not currently using the office because I was working from a building. I didn’t have any reason not to let my sister take the room. Believe me, I tried to think of one. When my sister moved in with me, the first thing that I told her was that there were going to be some rules. Since I pay all of the bills, I wanted the thermostat to stay at 72°. It’s very cool and comfortable inside of the house when the thermostat is set to 72°. There’s no reason for the indoor air temperatures to be any lower than that. The second day after my sister moved in, I came home from work and the thermostat was set to 68°. I yelled at my sister and I told her to leave the thermostat alone or I was going to buy one with a lock. She thought that I was joking, but that’s exactly what I did. I might not be able to control my sister, but I can control the indoor temperatures with a Smart Wi-Fi enabled thermostat.
