During the pandemic most companies let their employees work from home.
However, my company has not been that way and we have been going into the office every single day since the beginning of the pandemic.
Once I heard of my friends starting to work from home I just had this gut feeling that my company would not let us do this. I knew that they would want to be in the office every single day because they are controlling. Don’t get me wrong I love working for this company but they tend to like to control their employees and make sure we are doing what we are supposed to do at all times. I wasn’t upset that I couldn’t work from home but what bugs me is that if we are going to be in the office we need to have a properly working HVAC system. I think the thermostat for the HVAC system breaks at least every two weeks. That means that the air-conditioning stopped working because the thermostat couldn’t be controlled. I’ve spoken with my manager about the broken thermostat time and time again but she doesn’t seem to care and thinks it’s an issue that upper management will try and solve. I don’t think anyone in my company really cares about the broken HVAC system and I don’t know if I’ll ever be fixed. I just want to work in an office that has a properly working HVAC system so I can be comfortable and get my work done in a timely fashion.
