Roof restoration for terracotta roof

I have a terracotta roof on my house. It was there when we purchased the house almost 20 years ago but it’s starting to look a little ragged. I’ve called a few roofing contractors and most of them want to tear off my terracotta roof and replace it. I don’t want this at all. I like how some of the tiles look aged and I really want to keep the house’s history intact. That’s why I’m happy that I recently came across a roofing contractor that is proficient in roof restoration. They said that they can restore my roof to its original glory while keeping as much of the original tiles as possible. I really liked this idea so I gave them the go-ahead. Then I watched as they worked. After all, I didn’t trust them not to just start throwing away my good, ancient, terracotta roof tiles. But sure enough, they were very conservative with my terracotta roof. Over 75% of my original tiles were saved. I can hardly tell which tiles are the new ones either because they blend in so well. Now my roof doesn’t leak but it looks like no work was done at all. This is exactly what I wanted. I was also happy that the roofing company let me keep the damaged tiles. I was able to make a really nice walkway in the garden using them. That way, these old tiles stay with the house and I get a free walkway. It’s a win-win situation. That’s why I highly recommend this roof restoration company to anyone else I know with a terracotta roof. They’re just so professional in what they do
