The year my fiance and I relocated to the West, we found a nice lake house with a fireplace.
There was no furnace other than the fireplace.
My fiance was unhappy because of this issue. Her issue was how we were going to keep the space comfy in the winter. Our neighbor told us the winters were super mild around these parts plus it would never be that icy. She said it would legitimately be 62 degrees at the lowest temperature which didn’t happen often. My fiance still insisted she wanted some kind of furnace just in case it was too chilly, so we began searching for options. The Heating, Ventilation and A/C technician we met said we would be okay with a couple of portable section furnaces. But, my fiance insisted on getting radiant floors. The HVAC technician seemed surprised, but expressed they did those types of upgrades. She added how other residents actually go for the radiant radiant floors because they can’t walk around barefoot when the tiles on the floor are frigid, especially in the bathroom. My fiance and I got the radiant heated flooring upgrade, that turned out great. Even when not using much heating, the lake house feels awesome. The radiant floors are greater than we thought plus our family enjoys spending time at the location. They come over for parties every weekend.
