During the pandemic most companies let their employees task from home for a change.
- However, our contractor has not been that way plus both of us have been going into the office every single day since the beginning of the pandemic.
But once I heard of our friends starting to work from home I just had this gut feeling that our contractor would not let us do this… I knew that they would want to be in the office every single day because they are controlling. And don’t get myself and others wrong, as I prefer now working for this contractor but they tend to prefer to control their employees plus make sure both of us are doing what both of us are supposed to do at all times. I wasn’t worried that I couldn’t do the task from home but what bugs me and others is that if both of us are going to be in the office both of us need to have a properly working heating and air conditioning system. I think the thermostat for the heating and air conditioning system breaks at least every two weeks, then that means that the air-conditioning stopped working during the day because the thermostat could not be controlled. I’ve spoken with our manager about the broken thermostat time and time again but she doesn’t seem to care and thinks it’s an issue that upper management will try to solve. I don’t think anyone in our contractor undoubtedly prefers the broken heating and air conditioning system plus I don’t know if I’ll ever be fixed. I just want to get a task in an office that has a properly working heating and air conditioning system so I can be comfortable plus get our task done in a timely fashion.
