My younger sibling has been going through this different face as of recently where he’s completely anti-technology.
I am not sure how a child who is normally smartphone addicted abruptly became anti-technology and the time span of a week, however that is obviously what’s happened because now he is refusing to use his smartphone, his laptop, and even the central cooling system system? It doesn’t make any sense to me.
My mom thinks he’s going through some sort of different stage and I am thinking the same thing myself. I am a bit older so I already went through a bizarre stage of my own when I was his age, however nothing like this… He’s convinced that all technology is terrible and is being used to control people. I do not think anyone could deny the technology is undoubtedly addicting, and there are some people that could use technology for questionable reasons however technology is just a tool, it depends on how you use it, however knowing how my sibling is addicted to this cellphone I didn’t think this was going to last for honestly long however the strangest thing is that he was undoubtedly focused on the heating and cooling system for some reason. He became completely convinced that companies were robbing people and taking advantage of them by providing them a service that they didn’t need. I do not know if he’s ever been in a apartment that didn’t have a heating or AC system in the Summer or winter season months, although I do not think there is honestly many people that would say that they didn’t need it, but so now he refuses to even stay at apartment because of the heating and cooling system. He’s trying to convince my parents to get rid of our Heating in addition to Air Conditioning unit which is ridiculous to me. I do not know what started this although I hope it ends soon.
