My husband was severely disappointed when he was told he could no longer workout at his favorite gym during the lockdowns.
He thought the whole thing was ridiculous that gyms could not be opened but people could go into crowded grocery stores and similar places.
The gym he went to even has a UV air purification system and those UV lights really work to eliminate harmful pathogens including the dangerous virus that has been going around. He finally couldn’t take not being able to workout and he decided to put together a gym at home. He cleared a room in the basement and he ordered some workout equipment. It wasn’t nearly as good as the workout equipment he was used to, but he said it would have to do while he waited to be able to get back to the gym to get back into his routine. He even upgraded the HVAC system with HVAC zone control so he is able to crank the A/C in the basement area while he is working out without affecting the rest of the house. I have to admit, the HVAC zone control is a really nice upgrade and I noticed that our energy bills have gone down ever since we went for this installation. I think it’s because now we can focus the heating and cooling only in areas of the house that we are occupying. It’s nice to be able to provide this sort of comfort and not have to worry about expensive energy bills. I always crank the A/C in the bedroom before going to sleep these days and I love it.
