I spent the last 2 years actually working in a Skilled Nursing plus Rehabilitation Facility. Our residents plus patients were the elderly for the most part. Every one of us had numerous residents that were absolutely determined to make the best of their stay plus they were a delight to be around. Then there were a few that were determined to be angry plus make others around them irritated. The long term residential rooms were all double rooms. This meant the people I was with and I often had mismatching personalities with roommates! One of the most serious conflicts between roommates tended to be the temperature control settings in their room. Each room had a self contained heating plus cooling appliance plus the residents controlled their own temperature. The disagreements over the heating plus cooling often led to roommate adjustments which were completely disrupting to everyone. Our building was an older building plus the people I was with and I were consistently making changes to the air conditioner settings in an attempt to help control the humidity in the building. On actually humid days, the tile floors could become slippery plus incredibly dangerous for the elderly. Every one of us had numerous Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C appliances in position for a building of our size plus a pretty big generator in place to provide a cool room in the event of a hurricane or long term power outage. Also, our corporate offices required that our Plant Operations Manager be a certified Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C appliance company. He had to take all the necessary classes in heating plus cooling appliances to be able to perform his task. His assistant had taken the classes for Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C certification as well, but had not yet passed the test. There were many warm days they were on the roof of the building repairing the air conditioner appliances in our aged building to keep our residents perfectly comfortable plus ecstatic.
