My parents always instilled the sort of “can do” mentality in mine and my siblings mindset. They were great examples of how to overcome and achieve. Neither of them were like uber achievers or anything like that. It’s just that they had a default mentality that struggles were only temporary. So when the pandemic hit last year and chased me into the air conditioning safety of home, I didn’t freak out about my business. I own a small business that has been thriving the last few years after so much work and sacrifice. However, for my business, I simply couldn’t do everything from the air conditioning of my house. Much of my business entails me being onsite to implement or troubleshoot for our clients. But with the pandemic, I certainly wasn’t thrilled with the idea of getting on a plane. I know they installed HEPA air filters but I still was very leery of flying. So much like my parents taught me, I got creative and figured out another way. That started with loading up the car and hit the highway to get to my customers. The travel itself was almost better than air travel since the air conditioning was better and I didn’t have all the hassles associated with flying. Since I had to stay out on the road for weeks at a time, I started staying at the mid priced hotels along the interstate. And to my great surprise, I actually consistently them found them to have the best heating and cooling by far. This was due to the big wall unit air conditioners. Those things can easily provide the best heating and cooling due to their size and power.
