We are definitely going to have to get something done about our furnace before the weather starts cooling off again for the winter.
We were having problems with our heating system last year before the end of the winter, but we decided to just wait to fix it because we didn’t want to have to spend a lot of money on a heating system repair right then. It was the time of year when the bills were really coming in because of the holidays and adding another bill from the HVAC company really didn’t sound like a great idea at the time. I mean, it doesn’t really sound like a great idea right now, either, but at least we have everything paid off from last Christmas now. Last year, we didn’t really have that cold of a winter and so having a malfunctioning furnace wasn’t really all that big of a deal. They say that we are going to have a really cold winter this year, though, and so we are definitely going to have to get everything up to speed with the heating system before the weather starts cooling off in the fall. I know that if we don’t, we are going to be sorry and I don’t want to go down that road, that’s for sure. I am thinking that I’ll probably make an appointment with our HVAC company in the next week or two to get it done. I’m hoping that it won’t cost us too much, but I’m not very optimistic about that. Heating repairs always seem to cost a fortune.
