During the summer it is great because I’m outside maintaining my garden and my flower bed.
I also like to keep my lawn in very good condition.
During the summer I’m able to repaint my house and basically just maintain the outside of my home. During the winter I do a lot of internal work to my house. At least every winter I have a project that I like to work on in my house. I’ve been in my house for about 10 years and it’s not even completed yet. I recently have been redoing my basement. My basement used to be just concrete from the floor to the walls. I put in ceiling tiles, I built an entertainment center and a bar by myself. I have been staining the entertainment center and the bar with a dark chestnut color. The staining smell gets to be overwhelming at times. My family will complain that the smell is really strong when they are upstairs in the living room watching TV. I wish there was a way that my HVAC system could get the smell out. When I’m downstairs for an hour I get a headache and feel sick from the smell. I have yet to install air returns and vents down stairs in my basement. I think I am going to call my local HVAC provider for help. I was always told that if I was unsure of doing something that I should just leave it to the professionals. Plus I’ve never been good at understanding heating and cooling.
