For the past three months, I have been living in a house that has gas heating.
I have never used gas to heat my house, so I am not used to lighting a pilot light and dealing with all of that. I live in a region now that is very cold. In the winter months, the temperatures can plummet into the 20s in the middle of the dayI have only ever used electric heating in my life. When I started using a gas heater, I was pleasantly surprised by the efficiency. An electric heater is more costly and I really like the idea of a gas heater instead. I really appreciate the idea of electric heating, but I don’t feel comfortable having an electric heater at my house all the time. I am very cautious of using space heaters because of an incident I had as a kid. When I was younger, my aunt burned her house down using a space heater. Space heaters are very dangerous and everyone knows that we should take extreme caution when using them. The worst situation I heard of was a family is home burning down because of a space heater and they lost all of their pets. Space heaters are dangerous and I’d prefer a gas heating. It’s only been a few months of me having gas heating but I think I like it much more than electric.
