Gym is getting outdated and rundown

Just recently, the manager of the gym told me that they were going to raise the cost of membership

I joined my local gym shortly after New Year’s about eight years ago. They were offering a special with a very low membership fee. I was just thrilled to have access to all of their equipment and amenities. The gym was equipped with the latest innovations in machines. They offered an impressive selection of stationary bikes, ellipticals, rowing machines, treadmills and stairmasters. The weight-lifting area provided free weights, kettlebells and weighted balls as well as numerous machines to target all different parts of the body. I was very happy with the locker rooms, showers, sauna and the lap pool. They even offered tanning and massage. However, over the years, the gym has gradually become outdated. Those machines have suffered a great deal of wear and tear and haven’t been properly maintained. Many of them are no longer operational and should be replaced. I’d like to see some new, modern machines introduced into the gym. There is now equipment on the market that connects to wifi and provides a video screen for a more interactive workout. Because of problems with many of the machines, there’s often a weight to get on a treadmill or a stationary bike. Several of the bikes make an aggravating squeaking sound. I’ve also noticed that the gym is no longer kept as clean as it once was. There’s sometimes an unpleasant odor in the air and the gym feels slightly overheated. Just recently, the manager of the gym told me that they were going to raise the cost of membership. I told him that if my fees increased, I was finding a different gym.
