My wifey & I spend our frigid seasons down south.
We’ve been enjoying our retired lives for numerous years… Spending the frigid seasons down south is enjoyable for my body & mind.
My wifey also enjoys the warmer temperatures during December, January, & February. Before we leave that property each winter, we have a checklist of services & chores that need to be completed! A tuneup on the oil heating equipment is consistently a wonderful idea, even if we are not going to spend the whole frigid season in the house… There are seriously cold temperatures, ice, & snow during the frigid season weeks. When my wifey & I leave the property for several weeks at a time, we commonly set the temperature on the smart control component to 50°. The oil heating equipment only comes on if the property is seriously cold. The heat is a necessary thing, because it keeps the pipes in the property from freezing. If the water pipes freeze, they can crack & break & that will certainly lead to flooding… Last year we had the smart control equipment installed & it has helped to decrease some of the anxiety that we feel each time we leave the home for a lengthy time period. The smart control component allows us to check on the temperatures in the property even if we are not home. It genuinely is a wonderful peace of mind when we are away from the property. One time we came home from being down south & there was a small leak in the family room. The floor was unfortunately flooded & we had to upgrade the flooring in the family room. After that problem, we decided to invest in a smart temperature control unit.
