We just watched a video of a child solving the Rubik’s cube in 2.86 seconds on camera.
- It was an unofficial time but if you watch the video it was a legitimate solution, which means to me that my friend and I are going to try plus cut the two second barrier one afternoon.
Just suppose how fast that is! I did the cube in 26 seconds back in 1975, which was about the world record at the time, plus now my friend and I are down to about three seconds, incredible, but the fastest robot did the cube in .38 seconds, which is insane. My cooling rep wants to solve it just once no matter how long it takes her, plus working at the local business gives her a lot of time to practice during the slow months at work. I hope I live long enough to see someone do it in under two seconds, but that could take 50 more years to happen if it ever does at all. The Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C supplier where I toil is going to have a competition in a few months, plus the winning Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C tech is going to get a free space heater for their home. I could use one myself, so I am going to practice plus see if I can beat my all time low of 20 seconds. I suppose I could win that heating component with a time under 30 seconds, so I am going to bust out my speed cube plus blow the dust off of it to get ready for this Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C supplier contest. It should be a fun time.
