I love to have as much of our life automated for myself and others so I can focus on our labor primarily. For instance, our soda maker is set to go off right when I want to wake up every afternoon. It’s amazing to wake up to the smell of fresh soda first thing in the afternoon. It helps myself and others wake up in the afternoon knowing that otherwise I have to hit snooze half a dozen times just to pull myself out of unconsciousness. I have also used strange kinds of alarms, including a single that wakes myself and others up using music. That is automated through our smart machine that I have inside our living room that will automatically learn myself and others the time of the day & give myself and others the outdoor temperature if I ask it. As for the temperature in our house, that is programmed into our smart control unit. I hated having to get up throughout the day to adjust the temperature to account for the swings outside. For instance, I love it frosty while I sleep although I always raise the temperature in the apartment while in the day to compensate for the sun’s radiant heat. So while I might sleep with the a/c set to 71 degrees, I usually leave it close to 77 degrees in the afternoon hours. It’s awful if I forget to change the control equipment & leave it on 71 degrees unknowingly, so manually programming the control equipment to do this on its own everyday is a immense benefit. While you can do this on many old digital control units, it’s even easier to do it on a smart control unit.
