After my previous incident with the air filter, I always opt to call an HVAC professional for any repair work.
- The other day, the HVAC supplier that does routine repair on the HVAC component at work gave us all cards because they had started offering home services such as repair, replacement and so much more.
That weekend I decided to call them to have my smart HVAC maintained. I also added that I wanted an air purification system to improve my indoor air conditions. When I called the supplier, they confirmed their availability for Tuesday afternoon the following week. When the doorbell rang on Tuesday afternoon, I was sure it was from the supplier since I was not expecting anyone, but on opening the door, I saw an old classmate from high school. I was pleasantly surprised to see him, and after talking for a while, I asked how he had gotten my address. He told me he was the HVAC worker that I was expecting. After inspecting everything, including the a/c help, he said to me that my DIY had gone wrong, the air duct would need duct cleaning. I also told him of my plans to buy a whole-home air purification system, but he told me there was no need since I already had an air purification gadget I could carry to my desired room. He also said that since he had maintained the system, the air quality in the home would significantly improve. We made plans to meet and catch up some more when we both had free time. It was exciting to take a trip down memory lane, like how life had changed, and reminisce on the wonderful times.
