Made a terrible decision by not calling the HVAC professionals

So perhaps my mind decided that maybe I wouldn’t have to face it at all if there was a simple fix to this HVAC situation.

I notice that when I get really harried, surprised and forced out of my norm, I tend to make some really questionable decisions. Normally, I’m fairly calm and collected when I’m dealing with my life. But when I’m really rattled, I tend to just get all kinds of stupid. And that’s the only thing that I can really chalk this HVAC disaster up to. I just flat went stupid. This past summer, I found myself faced with an HVAC situation that threw me for a loop. It had been a very long day at the office and all I wanted to do was to come home and enjoy the air conditioning from the comfort of my chair. It was that sort of day. I just wanted to be out of the zone controlled HVAC of the office, go home, regroup and try again the next day. So when I came home to a house that was super hot and sticky, I really sort of got sideways. This was really just the last thing that I wanted to face that day. So perhaps my mind decided that maybe I wouldn’t have to face it at all if there was a simple fix to this HVAC situation. But once I found out that the HVAC equipment had power, I should have simply picked up the phone to call the HVAC company. Instead, I tried to look deeper into the problem and this rattled me even more because my logic brain knew I was making just a terrible mistake. Of course, I finally had to call the HVAC technician but I had done damage with my ill conceived idea that I could effect an HVAC repair.
