Mother is protected by security system

My mother is 79 years old, but still completely independent.

His mind is bright and she has no concerns with driving, weeding, mowing her lawn and keeping up with everyday responsibilities.

My mother enjoys maintaining her own home. I would never want to take that away from her, but I am concerned about her living alone. I make a point to check with her in some way everyday. I either text with her or stop by for a visit. Mom often eats supper at my house. On weekends, she usually joins us for a family picnic or a trip somewhere with the kids. I still have a fear of her possibly falling, getting injured or even a break-in. I feel more reassured now that we had a security system installed into my mother’s house. If there’s any issue, I know that I’ll receive an alert. My mom has access to a panic button that she can push in an emergency. This notifies me, my husband and a monitoring company. If we can’t get a response from my mother when we call, the proper authorities are notified and dispatched right away. If a door or window is opened, an alarm sounds. The proper code needs to be inputted within a set amount of time or the alarm triggers the monitoring company and a response. My mom’s house is outfitted with a smoke and carbon monoxide detector, moisture and motion sensors and automated door looks. There are motion activated security lights outside and surveillance cameras. While the security system won’t stop problems from happening, it ensures my mother gets the help she needs without delay. Whether or not my husband and I are available, she’ll get prompt assistance. I know my mother feels good about the security system.
