When I turned 30 years old, I wanted to make some changes in my life. It was the beginning of a new era for me in my life and it seemed like the perfect time. I was going to move out of state. I live in a big city in a northern climate that is regularly cold. It was the place I had grown up in and the place I would always call home, however I was tired of all of the ice and snow that would come every winter and I had always dreamed of living somewhere warm. Every year I always have to worry about maintaining my furnace if I don’t plan on freezing to death and the whole process of calling the HVAC company and getting the heating specialist out here just feels like such a hassle. I would rather only have to worry about my air conditioner by living somewhere warm, at least then if the a/c dies I can take my time getting it repaired, something that I cannot do with my oil furnace. I had spent the last year slowly building up my new life, I got the job I wanted in what would become my home state, and I saved up enough money to get a nice place there. Fast forward to a month later, and I have successfully moved states and am already living in a much nicer climate. I don’t think I will ever get tired of the warm sun and while I do have to worry about getting my air conditioner it’s tune-ups and upgrades if I want to keep it in good working condition, but it is a small price to pay if it means that I can enjoy cool air inside and warmth outside.
