When I found myself out of a job last week, I needed to find a place to stay, then the lease on our home had just run out, plus our landlord was hounding myself and others about renewing or I’d be evicted! I’m not someone who ever saw this happening, because I work difficult plus pay all our bills on time, and unfortunately, when the company I was laboring for merged with a odd company, a lot of the younger staff lost their positions.
To make the situation worse, I had to deal with the whole home lease thing.
Thankfully, our sister had a ensuite in her basement that was vacant, plus she provided to let myself and others stay there until I got back on our feet. When I was moving our things in, she showed myself and others where the laundry was, how to lock the door, plus where the thermostat was. When I looked at the thermostat, I instantly remembered that our sister had recently substituted to a smart thermostat, so I was excited! I asked her if I could download the app to our phone so I could set the temperature from somewhere… She said yes plus helped myself and others log in, however after moving all our stuff in, I wanted to lower the temperature from our phone plus test out the smart thermostat. However, when I went to adjust the temperature, it told myself and others that the change had to be approved by our sister. She’d sited a block on our freedom to change the temperature! I’m grateful for the free place to live, however I’m already desperate to find a new job plus transport out.
