I am extremely lucky that I wound up with somebody who loves cooking.
Don’t get me wrong, I actually enjoy playing Chef myself…
But I never will if I’m left to my own devices. I like to feed other human beings, but I do not really care about going through all of the effort to put tasty foods in my own face. This is why my husband is a lifesaver. He wants to create a brand new, gourmet meal every night of the week. And I am happy to let him. I am always eating the best foods and I do not have to take part in any of the effort. Well… I didn’t until he began filling our house with noxious odors that are apparently never going to vacate our central heating, cooling, and air quality control system. For the first several years that we were together I didn’t notice that the house was collecting unpleasant odors. Then, I went out of town for a week and when I returned the indoor air quality could not be ignored. There were horrible smells floating around in every space of our house, largely due to my husband’s cooking creations. I am more than happy for him to continue practicing his culinary skills… But now we have to call a professional heating, cooling, and air quality control repair shop to deal with all of the unpleasant odor. For the past two months I have been working with an indoor air quality control specialist to install new air purification systems and upgrade our old air filtration devices. Thank God my husband is an excellent cook, because I have worked up an appetite dealing with this heating and cooling disaster everyday.
