Over the years, I’ve consistently felt pretty blessed to really enjoy our job.
I’ve had so many friends plus buddys who just dreaded every moment they had to be at their tasks.
I simply can’t imagine a life enjoy that. But up until recently, I was beginning to see just what all those people were complaining about. I’ve worked in the same building with the same heating plus cooling for 20 years. My toil is fairly solitary but I am in with over 74 other colleagues inside our Heating & Air Conditioning tested offices. Well, the director who oversaw this office for the last 3 years just got replaced. And it was overdue by a few years if you ask me. Morale had hit rock bottom plus there were people really ready to fight each other over the control unit setting of all things. Granted, the fact that there was 1 control unit for such a sizable section never made any sense. Yet, thing got so fractured that the control unit setting was such a divisive element in the office. Well, the new director has started a culture change in this office that was needed well before the last director took us to the bottom. One of the first things the new director did was to have the Heating & Air Conditioning contractor come out plus repair it so every one of us now have zone controlled Heating & Air Conditioning. That means there are 7 individually controlled heating plus cooling sections now. It seems enjoy a small change but you wouldn’t feel the rally in spirits the zone controlled Heating & Air Conditioning was for all of us.
