Not sure if I will get heated flooring

I have been thinking about heated flooring just about everyday. My husband and I are redoing the flooring in our whole house. We already have the cement board laid down and bought the tile. Next the tile is installed and grout is put in. Then we have finished, brand new floors. On the cement board and before the tile, electric heated mats can be installed for radiant heating. Radiant heating sounds just amazing. No heated air rises and gets wasted on the ceiling. There are no hot and cold spots in the house. Tile floors are the best for radiant heat since it absorbs into stationary objects like the couch and chairs touching the tile. They almost feel like heated seats. Since it is electric heating, you don’t experience dirty indoor air quality or dry air conditioning. The system is silent and very efficient. I can purchase the heated flooring right from a hardware store too. There are two things stopping me right now. One is that the cost of doing this heating installation is the same as my new flooring. Buying all the cement board and tile was around seven grand. Getting heated flooring for my whole house will be the same amount of money. Do I want to double my project costs for a heating system when I already own a forced air system? The other thing that has me worried is if there is something wrong with the heater. It is buried under the floors and can’t be accessed to make a repair. So when the heater dies, I will just have worthless mats under the floor.
