I went to college for special education. I got my four year degree, did student teaching and also passed the certification tests. After all that was said and done, I realized I was not interested in teaching. I decided that I wanted to work in business. I worked as a web builder, analyst and team leader for years and years. I jumped all over the place in positions and in cities. I have recently retired, but I miss working. I don’t want to work over 40 hours a week at a company. I want to help others in the business industry. I have so much knowledge and have obtained skills that others should have. I found online that there are tons of business workshops around my area in Amherst NY. There is business coaching in Amherst NY. This is where an older business leader older mentors a younger person in the business industry. They give them tips, advice and provide feedback on what they have done. I desperately want to get into business coaching. I think I would be good at that. It would only be a small time commitment on my part. From what I found, you can do a one time session with a person or be on call for them. They give you a call, you charge hourly and guide them when they need it. In order to get into business coaching, I should first try to lead some business workshops. I wonder how people get invited to those? I guess my teaching degree will pay off after all.
