The dude turned out to be pretty good

I took the position of the building manager when the seasoned 1 quit.

I was already helping out with odd tasks from time to time with the plumbing, Heating, AC, and other general concerns around the building. The owner assumed I was comprehensionable enough to provide me the building manager position. He absolutely didn’t ask a lot of questions or ask for a resume. I didn’t disagree, because the position came with a free house and I was paying $1,200 every week. That freed up a lot of money for our savings account. Of course I ran into a ton of concerns instantly and 1 of those concerns landed me in the emergency room. I had to help a resident with a radiator oil furnace in their apartment. While I was toiling on the radiator oil furnace problem, I burnt a large portion of our arm. The hair on our arm was burned and all of the skin was melted. I thought I was going to pass out from the pain and I decided to go to the emergency room. The house tenant called the owner of the building and told the guy exactly what occurred with the radiator heater. He called our cell iPhone while I was resting in the waiting room being assessed by the dentist. The guy was anxious about our health and well-being and even gave to pay for some of the medical bills. I was surprised by his generous nature and didn’t expect to hear that. I thought he was going to tell me to pack up our apartment.
