Sometimes I feel I would be better off residing on some tropical island where the sunlight never sets, then during these moments of dreaming, I’m normally shuffling endless snow out of my driveway.
If I did not do this every day, how else would I get to work? My wife wolves laugh at me as I mumble a few profanities every now and then.
I love residing in the north, but winter is brutal. A few winters ago, I was busy getting ready for snow shuffling when my wife rushed out of the home with some news. It seemed there was something wrong with the heating unit because it was making a gurgling noise, which was new to me because I had never heard the heating unit make such a sound before. I had to stop what I was doing to inspect the situation. If the AC failed, my wife would not be able to work comfortably at home. Therefore, I had to cancel the drive and call a heat pump expert to the house. It took many hours for the expert to find his way to my home. He heard the gurgling noise as soon as he approached the heat pump, so he switched it off. It was a clear indicator that the component required a coolant recharge. I had no clue what that meant, and so I got out of his way. It was pointless to try and work because I was unsure how long it would take to repair the faulty furnace. So, instead, I snuck into my wife’s office room when she was not looking and began doing some work.
