My Grandparents lived way out in the country for a long time.
The two of us only got to see them once a year because it was far away from the east coast.
However, everything changed when our final child arrived! Grandmother & Grandpa flew to the city to visit & didn’t want to leave us ever again. They spoke with our parents about the local weather & how long Winter months lasted, because they were affecting their health. Once the move was decided, dad swung into action, searching for the perfect home for them to buy. They managed to find a customer for the country home & moved before winter arrived… Now that they were close by, all of us spent every other morning in their house, however over last summer, I stayed with Grandmother to learn a few baking tips before attending culinary university in the fall, but while there, I noticed she was having issues with all her symptoms. Grandmother informed myself and others she suspected there was a ton of dust in the air, causing her flu symptoms to act up. I told Dad about this, & he got in touch with a local AC corporation. They sent an Heating & Air Conditioning expert to the home to assess the indoor air pollen and allergen levels & request the best remedy. The AC expert confirmed the indoor air pollen levels in our Grandparents’ home were high. His suggestions included setting up a whole home purifier or a HEPA filter in the AC. In the end, the old folks opted to get the HEPA filter fitted in the Heating & Air Conditioning unit. The HEPA filters could unfasten 99.97% of the particles in the air, no matter how small. The results were sudden and immediate as Grandmother no longer had concerns with flu symptoms.
