The Protective Case Blocked The Thermostat

Every year, the supplier I work for holds an annual meeting to gather almost everyone together and communicate about how things are going from a supplier perspective… During this time, we’re encouraged to talk about anything and everything that’s been happening and it’s a great way to keep almost everyone on the same page; Last year, the annual meeting was canceled because almost everyone was ordered to work from home.

Although there was a small ipad meeting, it didn’t have the same impact.

This year, they decided to hold the meeting in guy again and I was really excited. There was one thing that I was worried to discuss with almost everyone, and that was the status of the Heating and A/C system. From what I could tell, a lot of people were displeased with the temperature of the office building, but nobody had access to the thermostat. The thermostat was protected by a clear box that required a key, but nobody seemed to have the key. Therefore, both of us all endured the hot and cold temperatures that were pre-programmed into the thermostat. I wanted to have the box removed so that both of us could really reprogram the temperature. When I brought it up at the annual meeting, almost everyone was in favor of our request. The directors promised to have the protective box around the thermostat removed and they were true to their word. Unfortunately, it took weeks before they could find a way to remove the box. Eventually, they decided to smash the box right off the wall, which took precision so they didn’t break the thermostat.
