I am headed off to have surgery next week at a new Surgery Center that I have never gone to before.
It is quite a long distance from my house, and I am going because they have an experimental treatment that I am eligible for. My insurance will not pay for it, of course, so I have to pay out of my pocket. Because of that, the surgery center has people on social media where you can go and learn about the surgery and how everyone is treated and how clean the surgery center is and so forth. Anyway, I have gotten on social media just to double-check and make sure the place I am going is nice. It turns out that I have seen pictures and the place is absolutely spotless. In addition, a lot of the people who have returned lately have talked about the new upgraded heating and cooling system they have. Most hospitals or surgical Centers do not allow the patient to adjust the thermostats. In fact, most patients probably never even see where the thermostat is for the HVAC unit. This place, though, believes that part of every patient’s good recovery is having control over the environment. Because of that they upgraded their HVAC systems to include modern HVAC technology. Each patient is able to adjust the thermostat up or down depending on his or her needs. The way they manage this is by having individualized mini split air conditioning units for each of the recovery rooms. Not only that, you are asked to download the AC app onto your phone while you are there. That way you can use your own phone to make sure your air conditioning is set exactly where you want it to be.How amazing is that?
