Today is Friday and we are supposed to play ball later, but with the cloudy weather I am not sure that it is going to happen.
We have a going away party for a friend later, who is going to be moving back home to have her child, so tonight is going to be a bittersweet party.
She will be leaving for six months and then is supposed to be coming back here after she has her kid, and I am hoping that she really will come back because she is a good friend of mine. We are both heating techs and met several years ago at the local business where we worked on HVAC systems together. I think she will come back but I’m not sure if she will be with the father of the kid because he is staying here and they don’t seem to be doing too well together. It is a big change for her and her heating and cooling work is going to be done for a while it looks like. I’m sure she will come back to the business one day but it could be years down the road till we see her walk through the doors of the HVAC company where she worked. I will miss her a lot but having a kid is a big thing and a lot of things are going to change in her life. She normally lives in an air conditioned RV, but is going to give that up to live with her folks while she has the baby.
