We have HVAC units that play music and can talk. My HVAC technician friends and I were working in our lab one day trying to figure out what would make our new multi split air conditioner better. We wanted a cooling unit that was a step above the average a/c unit. We started brainstorming when our stereo that was in our HVAC lab quit working. We didn’t want to work on heating and cooling units without any background music. That’s when I got an idea. We decided to try installing a stereo into a central air conditioner so that it could play music while cooling down a home. The goal was to turn the air ducts into speakers that way the music would resound in every room that had an air duct in it. We began developing our special central air conditioning unit with the stereo on a cool summer evening, and finished it in mid winter. We tested the central air conditioner at my home, where I had only had a window air conditioner to keep me cool in the summer. We installed the central air conditioner and then connected it to my smart thermostat.then, using the thermostat, we were able to make the air conditioner play music through every air duct in the house! After thinking about what we could do to make it better, we decided it would be best if we made a special smart thermostat that was made to connect to the speaker in the central air conditioner. We finally finished the smart thermostat and decided it was ready to be sold at heating and cooling companies.
