Not that many of years ago, my husband and I purchased a small beach house down south… All of us now divide our time, spending the Springtime and Summer weeks up north and the fall and Wintertide seasons down south.
It is such a relief to escape the snow and freezing chilly hot and cold temperatures… When the weather becomes too tepid and humid at our trip house, every one of us head north to milder hot and cold temperatures.
All of us care about the best of both locations, however since the homes are empty while in the most serious weather, every one of us adjust the thermostat to minimize energy use; However, there is always the problem of power outages or a malfunction with the furnace or A/C. In our trip house, going without A/C wouldn’t be a huge problem, but the high moisture levels might result in some mold or mildew growth.
