We were fortunate, when the tornado came through, that we didn’t sustain too much damage.
A few blocks from here, some of the houses were completely leveled.
The only damage we got, was some hail damage. My husband’s truck got pretty beat up and so did flower bed. We didn’t even think about the roof until a few days later when it started raining and we noticed several drips coming through the ceiling. When it stopped raining, my husband climbed up on the roof and noticed that our roof was pretty messed up from a hail storm. That’s when we started looking into hail damage roof repair. My husband watched a bunch of online videos and thought he could do it himself. But after a few attempts, and several trips to the home improvement store, he really hadn’t made any progress. That’s when we did a search for roofing contractors near us. Thankfully, we found a nice company that was able to come out pretty quickly. We worried that it would be a really expensive repair but they were able to use the supplies my husband had purchased and they only charged us for their labor. About an hour later, they were all done. About 24 hours later, it rained again and we crossed our fingers. Thankfully, there were no leaks in the ceiling. I guess they did a good job repairing our hail damaged roof. I’m sure glad we went ahead and hired the professional roofing contractors instead of struggling to do it ourselves. At least now it’s done and we don’t have to worry about water damage anymore.
