I was set up recently with this guy Jack, and I was pleasantly surprised that he was cute, and nice and polite as heck.
The main concern was that the guy had nothing to say.
The dinner was quite boring and I assumed I would never seen him again. The only interesting thing he had to offer was that he is an HVAC business contractor. When he walked me up to my door and I was going to send him on his way, I noticed my old furnace wasn’t working. So, rather than tell him to go I invited him in and started poking at my old furnace, and Jack came over immediately and deduced the old furnace was shot. He tore open the inside of the device without any issue. He pointed out the worn section on the old furnace and searched for the nearest store that carried it. That night the two of us went to the store, got the furnace section plus he repaired my furnace. He got all sorts of grime on his hands plus clothes. He even paid for the furnace part and did not charge me for his time and expertise. Jack was so nice, easy going plus great about the task while I was a mess; At the end of the night I was a little reluctant to see him go. I ended up asking him out for another date. Things are going well between us. It turns out he is just a shy guy that needed to open up some, and now I am dating an HVAC technician and I no longer worry about my old furnace dying on me.
