I really love having air conditioning just about everywhere that we go.
Back when I was growing up in the old days, hardly anyone had air conditioning in the town where we lived.
This was very unfortunate for my sister and me because the temperatures in the area where we lived got super hot back then. It’s not quite as bad now, but back then the weather started heating up at the end of March and it didn’t start cooling off until around November! It was crazy back then, but I guess climate change is affecting things now because it just doesn’t get as hot down there these days. It probably would not matter as much to us now anyway, since we are both older and we just don’t get as hot. It takes a long time for me to get warmed up when it’s cold in the winter now, and the hot temperatures in the summer just really don’t affect me the way that they used to. Anyway, having air conditioning during the summertime is definitely something to be thankful for. It’s one of those things that you might take for granted if you didn’t know how hard it is to be without it. That’s not something that I would ever do, though. Every time I walk into a nice cool air conditioned building in the summertime, I remember the old days when it used to be so hot outside and there was no way to cool off! Having A/C everywhere that we go these days is definitely a good thing about progress.
