I am writing a whole HVAC article about the power going out and turning off my window air conditioner.
It was raining quite hard outside when the power went out.
Our window air conditioner was doing a great job at keeping our living room cool and dry. The humidity outside was not wanted and our window air conditioner was helping us out. We also have a window a/c unit in our bedrooms upstairs to keep the top floor cool as well. When the power went out, I was sitting on the couch typing articles about HVAC units. I was cool and comfortable until the power went out. All of our window air conditioners stopped working and I was stuck typing HVAC articles in the sticky warm air rather than the nice cool air conditioner air. While this occurrence was not wanted, at the time I was struggling with a heating and cooling topic to type about. When the air conditioners turned off and I was no longer cool, I suddenly got the idea to type an HVAC article about my window air conditioners turning off due to a power outage. It was brilliant! I also would like to add that our furnace was no longer working either. We have a hot water boiler heating system that also works to keep our shower water warm. Luckily our hot water boiler had a reserve so we could still take a shower. The power came back on within only a few minutes and I once again was writing my HVAC articles in the cool air of our window air conditioner.
