I was set up recently with this guy Ben, and I was pleasantly surprised that he was cute, nice and polite.
The problem was that the guy had nothing to say.
The brunch was quite boring and I figured I would never seen him again. The only interesting thing he had to offer was that he is an HVAC service and repairman, and when he walked me to my door and I was about to send him on his way, I noticed my furnace wasn’t on. Rather than tell him to go I invited him in as I started poking at my furnace. Ben came over and deduced the furnace was shot He even tore open the inside of the device without any issue. He pointed out the worn part on my heating system as well as googled the nearest store that carried it. That night the two of us went to the store, got the heating system part as well as he did the repair. He got all sorts of grime and grease on his hands as well as his clothes. He even paid for the heating system part as well as did not charge me for his time and services. Ben was so nice, easy going as well as great about the task while I was a mess. At the end of the night I was a little reluctant to see him go. I ended up asking him out for another date. Things are going well between the two of us. Turns out he is just a shy guy that needed to open up a little. Now I am dating an HVAC technician and I no longer worry about my furnace dying on me.
