That had to be the issue because everything else in the house was attractive and functioning.
It was way too hot over at our neighbor’s house the other night when we decided to go over there for supper, but this was the first time that we had been invited over there as well so we wanted to go. The two of us undoubtedly wanted to see what the inside of the house looked like, which is why we accepted the invitation, even though we don’t so much want to get all that chummy with the neighbors. The two of us thought that it would be a good idea to go over there for supper anyway, and so my lovely wife made her famous apple cake for dessert, as well as I brought over a bottle of wine. We both seemed as though we had a fairly good time at first because we all just sat around and chit chatted outside around the garden. However, when we decided to go inside the house, it was just a terrible time. The temperature inside the house was way hotter than it was outside the house, but I could plainly hear the air conditioner running! I guess that they were just having troubles with their central cooling unit. That had to be the issue because everything else in the house was attractive and functioning. The decor as well as the furnishings were charming and even the food was very good too. However, it was so hot inside of their house that I could barely even take it. I couldn’t wait to leave and go home so that we could relax next to our own air conditioner and cool down again. If we ever go back over there for supper again, we will be sure to check that it is during the colder part of the year.
